Pooja Gangwar

Senior Research Associate

Pooja is a development sector professional with an MSc in Sustainability and Built Environment from Anant National University, Ahmedabad and a Bachelor's degree in architecture from School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi. During her undergraduate course, she drew upon her military background while doing a dissertation on socio-spatial analysis of cantonments in cities and a thesis on redefining cultural centres as public realm. In the postgraduate course she has looked at climate resilience and the affordable housing sector in depth. Before moving to the development sector, she worked as an architect on residential and institutional projects. Since 2021, she has worked on diverse projects such as assessing multilevel governance to advance building decarbonization, promoting sustainable cooling solutions in built spaces, and facilitating clean energy transitions at both state and city levels. Other than work, she enjoys conversations on leadership, cognitive psychology and neuroscience. Her favorite pastime is watching sunsets, writing on her blog and listening to TED talks.
