Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy’s hosted third in a series of reports presenting insights on India’s Charging infrastructure.
The report, Charging India’s Four-Wheeler Transport articulates the planning and establishment of public charging infrastructure for e-4wheelers in Indian cities. The researchers at AEEE have carried out a detailed study on e-4wheeler charging in India to assist in tackling the charging infrastructure puzzle.
The share of the 4-wheeler commercial fleet in both passenger and goods transport in Indian cities is increasing rapidly and considered to be a potential target segment for electrification. However, lack of adequate EV charging infrastructure is a significant challenge for scaling up e-4wheeler commercial adoption in the country. Post COVID-19 as building back better takes center stage, moving more sustainably becomes non-negotiable.
The discussion was followed by the official report launch. The webinar addressed the following questions that are considered to be at the centre of facilitating the effective roll-out of public e-4wheeler charging facilities.
