Niyoshi Parekh is an urban practitioner with a focus on urban development and social justice. She is an alumni of the Urban Fellows Program at the Indian Institute for Human Settlements and holds a B.A. Architecture and B.A. Computer Science from Brown University. With a background in analyzing housing policies and advocating for marginalized communities, Niyoshi brings a blend of technical skills and fieldwork expertise to address complex issues. Proficient in data analysis, GIS, and digital tools, Niyoshi effectively combines analytical rigor with a commitment to practical, community-focused solutions. She has collaborated with organizations in Mumbai, Delhi, New York and Rhode Island, including Basti Suraksha Manch, Youth for Unity and Voluntary Action, Tata Institute of Social Sciences and WXY Studio.
