Pavan Sharma is an energy efficiency and decarbonisation professional with over six years of experience in delivering energy and resource efficiency solutions across industrial, commercial, and public sectors. He has successfully led more than 150 energy efficiency audits and resource efficiency assessments spanning thermal power, iron and steel, textiles, power distribution utilities, commercial buildings, hospitality, healthcare, railways, banking, defence manufacturing, and the automotive sector. An Electrical Engineering graduate from the University of Mumbai, he is a Certified Energy Manager accredited by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Government of India, and a certified GHG Accounting Lead Verifier (ISO 14064-1, 2, and 3). His expertise includes industrial and building sector energy efficiency, retrofit strategies, feasibility studies, decarbonisation roadmaps, Net Zero Energy Building action plans, clean energy transition strategies, benchmarking studies, BEE PAT audits, BEE-CCTS baseline audits, BEE Measurement and Verification (M&V) audits, detailed energy audits, GHG inventory accounting, water audits, electrical safety assessments, and resource efficiency studies. He has worked with leading organisations including Tata Power, JSW Power, JSW Steel, Vedanta, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India, Adani, Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Mahindra, Indian Railways, the Reserve Bank of India, Union Bank of India, IDBI Bank, Reliance Industries, HCLTech, Torrent Power, Procter & Gamble, Amul Dairy, Myntra, and more than 15 power distribution companies. His experience also includes projects with hospitality brands such as Taj, Hyatt, Hilton, and Marriott, as well as municipal corporations including BMC, PMC, MBMC, and VVCMC. He is passionate about advancing practical, high-impact solutions that support India's transition to a low-carbon economy. Outside work, he enjoys fitness training, swimming, football, and music.
