Prosenjit Singha

Senior Research Associate

Prosenjit Singha works in the areas of cooling policy, refrigerant management, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions analysis. His expertise includes fluorinated gases, emissions estimation methodologies, and data-driven assessment of the cooling sector's impacts, as well as experimental and simulation-based analyses of cooling technologies. He has contributed to research on refrigerant leakage, lifecycle emissions, and approaches such as lifecycle refrigerant management (LRM), with a focus on identifying policy and implementation gaps in India. He has been involved in key international collaborations, including the Indo-Norwegian INDEE+ project on the sustainable transition to natural refrigerants in India. He has experience working on collaborative research and technical projects in the sustainable cooling and energy domain. His work involves engaging with industry stakeholders to improve data availability across manufacturing and servicing ecosystems and translating technical concepts into practical tools for decision-making. He focuses on strengthening data systems and supporting the transition to low-GWP, energy-efficient cooling solutions. He enjoys reading, cooking, travelling, and watching movies in his leisure time, with a keen interest in exploring diverse cultures and experiences.
