Sangeeta Mathew is a senior advisor at AEEE, leading projects in cold chain, energy data and state-level energy efficiency. She led the development and publication of the first three editions of the State Energy Efficiency Index for 2018, 2019, and 2020. The State Energy Efficiency Index, jointly developed with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), evaluates states on their energy efficiency efforts and achievements across all demand sectors. Sangeeta’s work in cold chain is aimed at demonstrating energy-efficient, clean energy powered cold chain solutions to reduce post-harvest food loss and improve cold storage for life-saving medicines in rural health centres. Her work includes the development of energy data frameworks and increasing visibility and awareness of end-use energy consumption.
Before joining AEEE, Sangeeta worked in Information and Communications Technology for 20 years. She developed network products for data and voice networks, operational support systems and data analytics to improve network repair and customer support efficiency.
Sangeeta holds a B.E. in Electronics and Communication from Manipal Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
