Sumedh is an energy sector professional with 18 years of international experience implementing cutting-edge programs on utility modernisation and advancing net-zero technology deployment. Through his distinguished career, Sumedh has worked on projects funded by multilateral organisations – USAID, ADB, World Bank, and has successfully led innovative programs on Demand Response and Integrated Resource Planning, which have significantly contributed to improve efficiency and advancing greener electrical grids. Sumedh has led international consulting assignments in multiple countries in South Asia, Middle East, Pacific and North America. Before joining AEEE, Sumedh was at the helm of the complex $50 million USAID South Asia Regional Energy Partnership (SAREP) program as Deputy Chief of Party, fostering collaboration among six South Asian countries to accelerate the shift to clean energy.  He has been recognised as a best-in-class employee with expertise in engineering and team management by globally benchmarked utilities – Dubai Electricity Water Authority (DEWA) and Tata Power- DDL. Sumedh is a qualified Electrical Engineer with a master's degree in business administration and an honored recipient of the prestigious "Karthikeyan Award" for being the top management student at BITS Pilani. Outside of work, Sumedh is a prolific writer, co-author of two books, and enjoys yoga, creating music with his guitar, and hiking, which foster his creativity and connection to nature.
