Siemens has set up a “Smart Buildings” experience center at its Kalwa campus in Navi Mumbai to help understand what makes a building smart and the underlying smart technologies. The interactive experience center showcases systems and solutions that make buildings smart, safe, secure, comfortable and energy efficient. Some of the systems that can be experienced include Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS), Fire Detection and Suppression, Access Control, and Intelligent Video Surveillance with analytics. The center’s flexible and interactive design allows for exhibiting live systems independently or as part of a totally integrated system. Moreover, customer specific scenarios can be simulated to demonstrate functioning of the systems in response to various potential triggers at the customer’s premises. The center also offers training programs throughout the year for customers, partners, students and employees with a dedicated panel of certified instructors, and is fully equipped with training kits of various systems. Trainings customized for specific requirements of customers are also offered by the center.
The “Smart Buildings” experience and training center was inaugurated by the global management team of Siemens Building Technologies division: Matthias Rebellius, division CEO, and Axel Meier, division CFO. They were joined by key management members from Middle East/Asia-Pacific region: Elangovan Karuppiah and Wolfgang Eger.
