February 3, 2020, New Delhi: The Government of India recognizes the importance of a successful global energy transition to achieve long-term targets of the Paris Agreement. The government has further committed to surge ahead with bilateral and multilateral cooperation on energy efficiency, renewables, and International Climate initiatives. To convert this commitment to action, in the face of a Global Climate Emergency there is an urgent need to create frameworks which require evidence-based research and development.
Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (energy efficiency market enabler and supports policy implementation with not-for-profit motive) will be in Hyderabad from February 10-13 is hosting its flagship biennial conclave ‘Energise2020’. The conclave brings together key stakeholders – government, policymakers, business leaders, researchers, academics, and youth to shape the narrative of energy efficiency in India. The conclave spotlights global energy partnerships, synergies and transitions, low-energy cooling, sustainable development, innovation and technology, data-driven policies, e-mobility, state and local action, youth engagement, energy monitoring, and much more. There will also be 52 researched paper presentations through the conference interspersed with plenary sessions.
We would love to host you throughout the conclave, and especially invite you to the conclave’s inaugural and key plenary sessions on February 10th and 11th. On February 11th, the inaugural session of the conclave will include special addresses by Mr Anil Jain IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Coal, Government of India, Mr Somesh Kumar IAS, Chief Secretary, Telangana Government, and Mr Andrew Fleming, British Deputy High Commissioner to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
