Post Harvest Management Practices and the Importance of Cold-chain to Reduce Post-Harvest Losses in Horticulture Crops

AEEE’s cold-chain program promotes sustainable cold-chain development for reducing food loss, ensuring food security and farmers’ welfare while creating a low-carbon and resilient cold-chain infrastructure. Our project, Improving Rural Livelihoods Through Energy-Efficient Cooling & Refrigeration in India, aims to demonstrate the benefits of energy-efficient, sustainable cold-chain solutions/technology in reducing post-harvest losses.

AEEE is organizing this webinar to create awareness and capacity-building of stakeholders on cold-chain systems. Experts from the Indian Institute of Vegetable Research (IIVR) and the cold-chain sector will speak on the following topics:

  • Post-harvest management practices in horticulture crops, including the importance of cold-chain for reducing post-harvest loss in horticulture
  • Case studies on energy-efficient, sustainable cold-chain solutions
