Energy Efficient Urban Street Lighting Project – India

This study was sponsored by World Bank Group and International Institute for Energy Conservation (IIEC). This Guide had explained the M&V process for EE projects in street lighting in a comprehensive manner. It begins with an overview of the M&V options identified in the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP) from Efficiency Valuation Organisation (EVO), considered an international best practice document in M&V. It also discussed the process for developing a project M&V strategy. This was followed by a detailed process for project baseline determination which is a critical step in taking the EE project forward, along with the challenges faced during this process and the recommendations to overcome those challenges. This application guide was primarily developed for providing aid to urban local bodies and project developers in implementing energy efficiency projects for street lighting.
