Large-scale Energy Efficiency in Indian Buildings: The Impact and Role of the Energy Conservation Building Code
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), in collaboration with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) and the Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur (MNIT), is offering a webinar on the Indian Energy Conservation Building Code. AEEE is an Oureach Partner for the webinar.
India’s unprecedented construction boom has put tremendous pressure on building energy conservation. The Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC), issued in 2007, can contribute to significant energy savings, pollution reductions, and expanded use of energy efficiency technologies in India. This webinar will review the progress with ECBC implementation in India, analyze the economic impacts of ECBC-compliant buildings, and explore opportunities for the private sector.
The webinar features four presentations from leading scientists, building energy professionals, and industry experts. Topics discussed include the ongoing efforts to roll out ECBC implementation in Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh, results of the pilot building on MNIT’s campus, and company insights on ECBC’s implications for the private sector.
Date and time: December 2nd, 2014; 4:30pm – 6:00pm Indian time (6:00am – 7:30am EST).
