Charging India’s Four-Wheeler Transport

Shifting away from ICE vehicles is no longer a choice; this transformation is necessary to decarbonise road transport in India. However, there are still some perceived barriers to adoption of EVs, including the high upfront EV cost, limited driving range of existing EV models, lack of adequate charging infrastructure, considerably long charging time, and the need for awareness of vehicle owners about EVs. Continuing the pursuit of AEEE’s research endeavour to address the critical challenges related to EV charging infrastructure, this report focuses on the electric four-wheeler segment.
